Everyone seems to be buzzing about the Royal wedding and rightly so, William will be one day the King of England.

I'm John Allsopp an Artist who practices the realistic technique; I hope you will agree that my paintings look like photographs. John Allsopp the, "Photographic Painter" now that sounds just right.

Prince William as you can see is created in his Royal Navy uniform, its unique no one else has created a Prince William in Navy attire. I'm a self publishing, self taught Artist, I serve only you, the supportive public, without you I would not exist as an Artist, Artists need public support, without support we all fall over.

I'm often asked where my inspiration comes from; it's a good question but sadly not one which I can answer. Where do ideas, to do whatever come from, I simply do not know. I have often wondered if we are connected to the greater World by some type of invisible flux. Flux is the changing magnetic field produced by magnetism and current. I spent my working years as a radio Engineer; however my artistic career started many moons ago when I would save my pocket money to buy Walt Disney Coloring Books.

Ideas are the life blood of an Artist, without Inspiration no one produces a single thing. Influences play a great part in one's life, I was influenced by Disney as a youngster, and my parents noticed this and compounded my initial interest by buying story books featuring Disney Characters. Now maybe influence in ones formative years are the inspiration in later life. I often say to people who ask, "John where do you get your subject content from,?, now to me it's like trying to explain in simple terms the movement of a centipede as it walks across a desk top, it is very difficult to explain which leg comes next. Subject content is like the centipede.

Serendipity plays its role, we all stumble into something and all of a sudden it becomes an idea, if you are like me, and there are few who say they are like me, I pick up on things that don't fit, those aspects of life that do not fit into the square hole are the subjects that interest me and have done for many years, I'll probably just go on working my way through interesting idea's the rest of my life. One subject tends to lead to another, if you were to try to plot me on a graph, you may find it quite hard to find a pattern. Patterns may be there, but like problems they are just solutions waiting to be found.
