Do You Think Your Affiliated Sales Are Being Hijacked?
You have this astonishing auto-responder email sequence set up
, and you have written and published loads of brilliant articles and blog posts.
The landing page you're sent to looks exceptional for pulling in the leads. However, something doesn't seem to be working right, and you are not sure of the problem?
You're generating the traffic but you have no sales to show for your efforts, does this all sound familiar to you? This appears to be a regular problem that most folk is not aware of what's causing this problem.
This happened to me, and it took me quite some time to figure out what the problem was. You may be possible be channelling in loads of sales into your campaign. However, when you check your account for commissions, you're not seeing any. Clearly, this is somewhat of a major problem that you need to take care of immediately.
I found out that the user was changing my affiliate ID to their identity, or it could have been the spyware on their computer altering it. If this happens it will stop you from receiving the credit for any of your sales even though it was you who made it. There is only one way to stop this from happening and that is to cloak your link.
The method of link cloaking is when you program a redirect on your website that hides your affiliate ID's and then makes it impracticable for users or spyware to stop you from getting your sales.
When you realize the difference this is making to your commissions that you properly are giving away your sales to somebody else. Instead of making money from your sales channel yourself.
You may be reading this and say. "I'm making sales, and I don't have this problem". However, some might still be stolen. It certainly wouldn't hurt to think about starting cloaking your links so you lock in all your sales.
I soon found out that it was extremely hard to make a good link cloak, that was, unless you were a programmer or something like that.
You will find many cloak link services on the internet, but what one do you use. I certainly would not recommend using the first one you come across. I found a lot of these will only mess up your tracking cookies, and you will still not receive the credit for your sale. When you are searching for a link cloaking service you need to look for ones that are designed for affiliated marketing.
However, you will not find many of these around.
I at first started using redirection services such as TinyURL this service maybe great for shortening that long URL into a tiny URL. However, they are disgraceful for messing up your affiliate links so you do not receive the credit for your sales. Many of the other links shorting services I found also had the same problem.
After much trial and error, I then found out that the best link cloaker is one you can put onto your site, you then do not have to worry about anything not working properly or breaking down. However, this could be difficult for you to achieve, unless you are a programmer, or you are willing to pay for this to be done for you.
