Does Our Way Of Life Lead To Medical Issues?

Deaths occur across our country every day due to illness and disease

. There are some in this group who might have been able to survive if they had been insured with a health insurance plan and had earlier intervention and/or prevention treatments. The right to health insurance should not only be a province of the wealthy and/or employed, it should be made available to all citizens. Yet lately in our country it is only the rich that can afford it, those with job struggle to pay it, and those that are unemployed do not carry it.

In Africa, they can't give their people the care they need, because they don't have the access to the life saving medications and treatments that we do in this country. Therefore many of their population die each year of diseases that have cures.

In the US, however, we take our health for granted. We eat without regard for our bodies and as a result we are dying of the diseases of the rich, yet still we are not able to afford our own citizens with the life saving medications if they can't afford to pay for them, and aren't able to carry health insurance?

Honestly, we all need to start taking care of ourselves and begin eating and exercising as if we want to live instead of die. Many of the diseases in this country that require medical treatment are diseases like Diabetes, Heart Attack, Stroke, Cancer, and other vascular diseases. All of which by the way come from the lifestyle that we lead.

What we need to realize is that if we were all doing our part to stay healthy, then we would only need to seek medical treatment for other miscellaneous illnesses and injuries that we sustain, and medical expenses in this country would go way down. By not doing this the medical prices continue to rise and the population is unable to afford the medical care the is required.
