To better understand leveraged income you need to understand what linear income is. This is where you get paid a fixed rate for the work you do.

People who are paid by an hourly wage or a salary have a linear income. You get up and go to work, and once a week, or maybe twice a month, you get paid.

We are coming into the holidays and hourly workers have a chance to make extra money by putting in overtime. They might even get paid extra to work on a holiday such as Thanksgiving or Christmas.

The downside to linear income is if you are not working you are not going to get paid. Depending on your benefit package you may have sick days or vacation that will let you earn money on days you don't work, but that's about it.

Now let's look at leveraged income. Network marketing is a perfect example of leveraged income. You can sponsor people underneath you and earn income on their efforts.

With the MLM compensation model you can build a large downline of people and get paid on their purchases and sales. A good example of this would be when you are putting 15 hours a week into your business part-time. If you have 10 people underneath you putting in 15 hours a week as well, you would have 165 hours at week being put into your business.

There is no way you're going to work that much time personally, but you are taking advantage of leverage to increase the amount of time put into your business. This increases your income as well!

Outsourcing is an excellent way to leverage your time to create more income. You can hire a full time worker in the Philippines for around $300 a month. This gives your Internet business the opportunity to grow at an affordable rate without you spending more time in it.

Affiliate marketing is a good business model to develop leverage income. One example of this would be if you wrote an ebook and sold it on ClickBank.

You pay Clickbank affiliates a commission to sell your ebook for you. There are many Internet marketers earning a six-figure income just on the sales of affiliates in the Clickbank program.

You do not have to recruit the affiliates because Clickbank already has them. You do not have to manage the affiliate program because they take care of that as well. They also handle delivery of the ebook to the customers who make the purchases so you don't have any extra time spent on that.

There are many ways you can turn an Internet business into leveraged income. It's really one of the best ways to develop a full-time income online!
