Always end every session on a good note, like praising him for even the smallest progress he made and rewarding him for following a particular command several times over. If youre feeling frustrated or angry, stop training, as these feelings will be passed on to your dog.

Number three: Reward or punish your dog while the act is being carried out. Note that dogs learn by association. If you punish your dog for urinating on the carpet after he has urinated on the carpet, then your dog wont know for which behavior you are punishing him.
