CURRICULUM VITAE

CURRICULUM VITAE

A neuroradiologist by training, I specialized in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Introducing the technique in India in 1987 after coming back from the USA where I underwent a fellowship programme at the Beth Israel Hospital, New York.

I was instrumental in setting up the First MR centers in various cities in India such as Bombay, Ahmedabad etc. and in abroad such as Sultanate of Oman and continued consulting for numerous other centres all over India and abroad. The result was a spurt in use of this technology at over 500 centers now operating in India & the Middle East.

I was the Chief Consultant at the First MR Centre in India at Breach Candy Hospital and at Al Afaq in Oman for more than 15 years. I also started the First Lithotripsy centre in Gujarat in the year 1989. Recently started G. T. Hospital Imaging Centre (MRI & CT Scan) a first Public-Private-Partnership with Government of Maharashtra.

The enterpreunial urge facilitated me to start a unique preventive & diagnostic clinic called "Spectrum Healthcare" in Bombay which is also a pioneer and leader in its field.

I am the Medical Director of Spectrum Clinical Research (SCR), as a one-of-its-kind patient focused Clinical Research Organization (CRO), providing a wide spectrum of clinical research services viz. Pre Study, Study Management and Post Study Services for Phase I, II, III and IV Global Trials with a strong presence in India.

I am also the Chairman of Medsphere Technologies Pvt. Ltd., which is a global teleradiology and PACS solution provider which develops teleradiology and PACS products and services for customers around the world.

I am also the Director of Exemplar Lifecare Pvt. Ltd., a healthcare marketing company, which started a web-portal CHEENYKUM, for diabetes care in India using a proprietary mobile & web-based technology.
