E-mail Tip I sometimes need alternative e-mail addresses--either because I want to track where people found me or I want to track what a site does with my e-mail address or for a business with employees who can purchase things independently but then you want to track it in one place. But of course it's a bit of a pain to create multiple e-mail addresses, especially if you're trying to track response from different websites and that would mean creating a bunch of e-mail addresses. So I decided to research if there was a faster way to do this and bumped into a very simple solution. That is, you open up a gmail account or use your current one and simply add the symbol "+" after the main part of your address. For example, let's say you want to open an Amazon account for your business and have employees be able to order things themselves, you could open up a gmail account called say AmazonCompanyPurchase@gmail or ACP@gmail [the .com is left off intention due to Article Base rules, but obviously you need to put in the full e-mail address) and then if you make a purchase add the "+" sign and some letters or numbers afterwards. So Joe Smith could be ACP+JS@gmail-com or ACP+J1@gmail-com. Gmail seems to know to ignore what comes after the + sign and simply send it to the correct address.
While this is a simple tip, another example is my contact information below. If I generate any potential clients from this article, I'll be able to tell based on when the e-mail address they responded to how they found me. If I write another article I can put "+ab2" to track that. And for a third "+ab3" etc.
At this point my point is made, but apparently I need to have another 75 words or so to fill the minimum 350 word requirement to get published on Article Base. So I'm not sure what else to say, except to ask you what you think. Is this tip helpful? Can you comment below. Was I not clear. How did you end up finding this article?
