If your dress monochromatically, you can opt for more dramatic artsy earrings to serve as focal point for your outfit. You should also consider what jewelry to wear when choosing earrings. Choose simple earrings when wearing dramatic necklaces to highlight the latter as the focal point of your outfit. This will also give the necklace due emphasis and your accessories will be complementing not competing with each other.
