Easy Italian Recipes For A Dinner Party

Italian food is a favorite type of food and there are lots of people who really love eating Italian food

Italian food is a popular food for parties, because Italian food for dinner usually doesnt take a lot of time to prepare. It can also be easily prepared ahead of time and there are many Italian recipes that are especially ideal for parties.

Preparing an Italian dinner for your guests is sure to satisfy their appetite because Italian food is hearty in addition to being popular. Here are a couple recipes that youll want to try at your next dinner party. To have the full experience of an Italian dinner, you can start off with a wine such as a Martini or Neggroni that can be served with lemon and an ice cube.

BRUCHETTA

1.5 pounds of ripe Roma tomatoes (cubed with their seeds removed)


2 tablespoons finely chopped red onions

2 cloves garlic (minced)

cup chopped fresh basil

2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

3 tablespoons of virgin olive oil

Salt

Pepper

Parmesan shavings

Toasted crusty bread

Place your tomatoes into a bowl and then mix together your other ingredients. Let this mixture stand for at least an hour at room temperature. Toast your bread and top with olive oil. Scoop the tomato mixture on top and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. If you can make it the day before it is even better because the flavors will blend overnight.

BAKED ZITI WITH SAUSAGE

1 large diced red or white onion

6 cloves of garlic

1.5 lbs of Italian sausage (spicy or mild)

cup of dry red wine

1 can of chopped tomatoes with juice

4 diced tomatoes

cup of chopped fresh oregano

1 cup of ricotta cheese

cup of grated Parmesan cheese

1/3 cup of flat leaf parsley (chop into small pieces)

1 pound of dry ziti pasta (cooked al dente)

1 pound diced mozzarella cheese

Salt

Pepper

Olive oil

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Heat two tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet then saut your onion in this oil until it is soft and transparent. Add the sausage and garlic, cooking until the sausage turns brown. Add enough salt and pepper to taste. Next, drain the excess fat and return to the burner. Add the red wine and bringing it to a boil. Next add the tomatoes with their juice and simmer for about nine minutes allowing the sauce to get thick and then you can add the oregano.


Mix together the parsley with the ricotta cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste. Now combine this with your cooked pasta. Add the sauce and sausage. Mix this with your mozzarella cheese. Pour into a large, greased baking dish and sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese on top. Bake until it bubbles and turns light brown.

Salad and garlic bread are always go well with any Italian dinner. After dinner is over, most Italians will enjoy a Limoncello, which they believe to be good for digestion. Of course, there are a lot of other dinner dishes that you can enjoy, but these two are a good start.
