Ecolink announces its unique new Green Technology Building Material, ECO Wall Board. Responding to a growing need for eco-friendly alternatives to traditional gypsum board, stucco, drywall, vinyl laminated panels, and formaldehyde-ridden lumber, ECO Wall Board offers a unique sustainable solution. ECO Wall Board is a composite board that combines natural fibers with renewable resources based resins to produce a composite wall board that is structurally sound and can resist cracking, due to its inherent flexibility. It is both fire retardant and water resistant.

ECO Wall Board will initially be produced as 4 ft. x 8 ft. and 2 ft. x 8 ft. sizes. Exterior ECO Wall Board will be coated with TextureStone, Ecolink's durable 100% UV stable decorative coating, a water-based polymer, made from recycled materials. TextureStone is offered in 16 standard colors and can be custom colored. Exterior ECO Wall Board is offered in three different textures: smooth, rough, and splatter coat (a stucco-like texture). Exterior ECO Wall Board requires no sealants or weatherproofing and resists attack from starlings and woodpeckers. ECO Wall Board is virtually maintenance free - there is no need for staining or painting, it requires only periodic cleaning to stay beautiful for years.

Interior ECO Wall Board is finished with a recycled paper surface, which is paintable just like drywall. The combination of interior and exterior ECO Wall Board will create a complete interior and exterior insulation finishing system (EIFS).

ECO Wall Board will not rot or splinter and will not be susceptible to damage from insects or termites. ECO Wall Board will not shrink or swell from moisture. It offers a thermal resistance value (R-value) of 6.5 per inch. ECO Wall Board cuts, fastens and sands easily like wood, it has excellent screw and nail holding properties. Unlike drywall there is no dust during installation.

Ecolink's new Green Technology ECO Wall Board has a wide variety of applications and uses. Depending on use, it is offered in different densities to meet various application needs.

ECO Wall Board can be used as a pre-coated decking material. Unlike wood composite boards, where the warranty is void if pressure washed, ECO Wall Board can be pressure cleaned with no adverse effects. It contains no toxic chemicals or preservatives.
