His male parent , Alfred Swaab, was an entrepreneur business man businessman who owned ran operated a successful Pharmaceutic factory that created medical ointments . Having attended Neyenrode Business University for three years to gain his BBA, Edgar Swaab had previously studied in Amsterdam so later went to both Delft University and the University of Capital of The Netherlands for over two twelvemonths , finishing an Master in Business Administration and a Law degree at the same time.

The 15th of March 1982 saw Edgar Swaab begin his business career at Paribas Valeurs (now BNP Paribas) in Paris. This position enabled him to refine his passion for travelling as it involved Edgar traveling between Paris, London and New York. Fall 1983 saw Edgar Swaab relocation to a role with the World Bank in Washington D.C. , prior to being headhunted by Rothschilds in New York, where he moved in June 1984. Here , he headed up the Fixed Income Distribution team outside North America, before speeding through the memberships to become Junior Partner in 1986 and Cooperator in 1987.

With his mania for travelling Edgar Swaab had taken his family to Republic of South Africa to observe his home squad, Holland, vie in the Fifa World Cup 2010. Edgar Swaab will be watching their games for as long as they are in the running, mixing football and fun as he will also be going on Safari during his trip. The Netherlands are in Group E, and Edgar thinks that the team's most talented player is Robin Van Persie, who plays for Arsenal when not playing for his nation .

Edgar Swaab remains a dedicated football fan. Edgar supports AFC Ajax, having plumped for them from a young age ; Edgar still holds season tickets to all their games. Edgar Swaab's grandfather was one of the founding members for the Amsterdam football club. Edgar however stays an eager buff , following his squad whenever he can.
