Eeshwar Niwas is from Hyderabad

Eeshwar Niwas is from Hyderabad. He was an office assistant in filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma office in Hyderabad. Later Ram Gopal Varma gave him a break as a director.

In 1999, E. Niwas made his directorial debut with SHOOL (1999). The film stars Manoj Bajpayee, Raveena Tandon, Sayaji Shinde and Yashpal Sharma, Nagesh Bhonsle, Pratima Kazmi, Veerendra Saxena, Shilpa Shetty(as a dancer), Shri Villabh Vyas, Ganesh Yadav and Rajpal Yadav.

The film story and screenplay was written by E. Niwas in collaboration with Ram Gopal Varma. The dialogues were written by Anurag Kashyap. The film was produced by A.V.S.Raju, Ram Gopal Varma and Kona Venkat.

The film revolved around an honest police inspector Samar Pratap, played by Manoj Bajpayee. Samar Pratap is transferred to Motihari in Bihar. A corrupt MLA Bachu Yadav is causing crime and havoc in Motihari.


Bachu Yadav is threatened when Samar comes to Motihari, and he does everything possible to get rid of Samar. He even tries to harm his family. Shool (1999) Was Critically Acclaimed And Did Above Average Business At The Box Office.

Shool (1999) won the national award for best feature film in hindi in 2000.

In 2003, E. Niwas released film DUM (2003). The film lead stars were Vivek Oberoi and Dia Mirza.

The film also starred Atul Kulkarni, Mukesh Rishi, Sheeba, Sushant Singh, Govind Namdeo, Yashpal Sharma, Nina Kulkarni, Vivek Shaq, Saurabh Dubey, Yana Gupta, Anand Desai, Abhay Bhargav, Harsh Chhaya, Sunitha, Nayan Tara, Chandra Shekhar Gautam, Nagesh Bhonsle, Ajai Rohilla, Mukesh Bhatt, Sanjay Sharma, Pradeep Suri, Deepa Chapre, B.R. Srivastav, Rajesh Balwani, Preeti Koppikar, Yusuf Hussain, Anil Dutt, Kishore Mordekar, Kaushal Kapoor and Patal Bhatt.

DUM (2003) was produced by Ali Morani, Karim Morani, Bipin Savla, Bunty Soorma and Neelam Soorma. The film was a remake of the hit Tamil film DHILL (2001). Uday (Vivek Oberoi) is a determined young man who has always dreamt of becoming a police officer.

He realizes his dream, when he grows up and joins the police force. His senior in the police department is an evil police inspector Shankar (Atul Kulkarni). Uday meets a beautiful girl Kaveri (Dia Mirza), who is a part of the television industry.

Uday decides to teach Shankar a lesson. Shankar is angered by this and does everything possible to kill Shankar. He even kills a politician (Govind Namdeo) and puts the blame on Uday. Uday does not give up, and fights till the end. He kills Shankar, and marries Kaveri. The film did not succeed at the Box Office.

E. Niwas 2004 release was BARDAASHT (2004). It starred Bobby Deol, Lara Dutta, Riteish Deshmukh, Tara Sharma and Rahul Dev. The film was produced by Pooja Galani and the screenplay was written by Vikram Bhatt.

The film revolved around Major Aditya Shrivastava, whose younger brother Anuj is falsely killed in a police encounter for possessing drugs. Aditya discovers that a few members of the police force are involved in Anuj murder, but they do not confess their crime.

Aditya takes the law in his own hands, when everything else fails, and decides to fight for his brother justice. The film was a failure at the Box Office.


E. Niwas next release of 2008 was DE TAALI (2008). The film also starred Aftab Shivdasani, Ayesha Takia, Ritesh Deshmukh and Rimi Sen. The film was the remake of Hollywood film Saving Silverman (2001). It was produced by Ravi Walia. The film revolves around three childhood friends Paglu (Riteish Deshmukh), Abhi (Aftab Shivdasani) and Amrita (Ayesha Takia).

Abhi father wants him to marry Amrita or Amu. But Abhi falls in love with another girl called Kartika (Rimi Sen). Kartika is a fraudster and wants to marry Abhi only for his money.

Paglu and Amrita hate Kartika and kidnap her. When Kartika is freed she tells Abhi about her kidnapping and Abhi breaks all relations with Paglu and Amu. But in the end, Kartika realizes that she is wrong and she tells Abhi to marry Amu, since she is the right girl for him. The film was a Box Office failure.
