, and fans of the series have been chomping at the bit for more. It was the game that gave players complete freedom in a medieval style era, you could completely customize your character and gained experience points from simply walking around to increase your stamina so was the level of detail.

Skyrim looks set to continue the Elder Scrolls massive levels of customization, offering players the opportunity to dual wield spells, undertake countless side quests as well as trying to tackle the main adventure. Its been reported that the overall gameplay time will be more than 30 hours. At the beginning players are asked to pick from human or other species and select a few simple options which determine how easily your character can learn certain things. This really does look like the ultimate RPG.

One of the most interesting features of Skyrim is how far reaching the effects are of you actions. For example, if you decide to needlessly kill a local woodchopper it means that there is no wood in that area for sales, which damages the local economy and eventually buildings will start to fall apart, people will begin to starve and it will generally have a negative affect on the area.

The game encourages you to think before you act. This is an extremely clever part of the game but doesnt quite trump one of the best moments in gaming walking along and, without warning, a dragon swoops overhead. Most of the time these creatures will ignore you however, fire an arrow in their direction and the battle will commence with the dragon raining down fiery terror as it attempts to destroy you. It definitely isnt recommended that you attempt to bring one of these beasts down without first levelling up your stats!

Bethesda Game Studios want to make you feel like you are moving through a real world and that you are simply an inhabitant of that world, albeit one with the power to majorly affect it. An example of this would be that as you walk through the plains you see a giant slowly herding his cattle across them; these giants are surprisingly docile and will not attack you unless you choose to attack them first. The Creation Engine, developing beautiful weather effects, powers the amazing graphics and makes the world seem that little bit more real.
