Electronic Cigarettes: Now You Can Smoke Indoors!

I'm a smoker of two-and-a-half decades. As of now, I'm not planning to quit, however over the past few years it has become increasingly difficult to light up a cigarette. The city that I live in even banned smoking on balconies of apartments! More and more anti smoking laws are being written into effect. While the easiest method to smoke indoors would be to exhaling the smoke using a clear toilet paper roll filled with fabric softener sheets (the same kind that you put in the dryer to dry your clothes), it's just not that effective. In fact, I almost had a nervous breakdown a couple of days ago on the plane because my cigarette gum just wasn't doing it for me.

Fortunately, a family member recently told me about electronic cigarettes. The electronic cigarette is basically a device that looks exactly like a real cigarette, and feels like one, too! The only difference is that it doesn't release any smoke, so you could call it "the smokeless cigarette". It's easy to use:

a. You put it up to your lips as if you would a normal cigarette, you even hold it the same way.

b. Take a smoke and inhale.

c. Within the smokeless cigarette is a nicotine plug (that's replaceable) that's set off when you press your lips to the electronic cigarette.

d. You get your nicotine, but in a water-based form. Pure nicotine, without the dangerous chemicals or anything like that entering into your lungs

e. You exhale not smoke, but water vapor and H2O. There are no chemicals, no ash and no tar in your exhalation.

And that's why they call them smokeless cigarettes, which makes them perfect for any smoker. You can still get your fix wherever you are, be it a bar, house, hospital or on the plane!

I had to see it for myself to believe it, so I purchased a smokeless cigarette basic starter kit online. For one carton, I actually got way more than what I would normally pay for regular cigarettes - I got 5 cartons of electronic cigarettes for the price of 1 carton of regular cigarettes. I saved over $200 on this purchase alone!

I visited a restaurant a couple weeks ago with my family and after a few hours the urge to smoke a cigarette hit me like a ton of bricks. It was located in a strip mall and they had a pretty hard lined policy of no smoking inside or within 100' of the establishment. So I pulled out the electronic cigarette and took a drag. It felt just like a normal cigarette without the "trash can" taste that you normally find on a cigarette. It tasted like water. Everyone around me was amazed and asked me where I got it from.

With the stigma attached to smoking, I think smokeless cigarettes are a great alternative to regular ones, providing a safer alternative to smoking indoors or in close proximity to others who would be bothered by it.
