By this time, you've shared some personal information with your new acquaintance, and shown them you're trustworthy and worth listening to. The relationship is building. The connection is there. You can now recommend a product to this person. They trust that they know what you're talking about and are willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. You also want to enhance the recommendation by supporting their purchase. Offer a money-back guarantee. Offer them email support. Show them you'll be there for them through the purchase and beyond.
Phase 4: Best Buddy (Repeat Customer)
This is the golden phase and if you get here, then you've achieved your PhD in email marketing - how to convert a visitor to a customer. In this phase your visitor has become your best customer. They are now completely comfortable with you and your recommendations. If you recommend something, they'll be the first to buy it. You've established a high level of trust with them, and they've been completely satisfied with your previous recommendations. They know that you won't steer them in the wrong direction. Congratulations!! You have a customer for life.
