Attappady: Attappady is one of the virgin hill station of Kerala. This beautiful hill resort is located at the northeastern side of Palakkad district and 38 km from Mannakkad. Attappady is considered as a perfect blend of lush mountains, hilly rivers and deep forest. This place is also very popular among the anthropologists as it serve as a homeland to various tribal communities like 'irolas' and 'mudugars'. Attappady has some famous tourist spots such as Silent Valley National Park, Siruvani Drinking Water Reservoir and Malleshwaram Peak worshiped as a 'Shivalinga' by the native tribal people.

Peerumedu: Lies at an altitude of 914 m above sea level, Peerumedu is a tiny hill station of Kerala. It is located on the way to Thekkady. Peerumedu has attained its name from Peer Mohammad, a Sufi saint This hill resort is famous for various kinds of plantations like Coffee, tea, pepper, cardamom and rubber.
