Sometimes the cuts that hit deepest end up being the wounds that bring out the best in us. When you experience a pain so intense that tomorrow seems impossible to even think about, just take a breath and allow the doctor to do the stitching that needs to be done, trusting that even this too shall pass.
I know, I know...you just weren't ready for this; you didn't see it coming and your nerves are shocked from the flow of intense pain that has not yielded. But let go of the obsession with what you can not change, and focus on healing a day at a time. Don't rush it, don't let anyone else around you rush it, just sit back and listen to the whisper The Enemy does not want you to hear. This is the time our Father has set aside just for you and Him. I am not saying that He intentionally hurt you, but He needed to get your attention because lately you have paid Him no mind.
God is a selfish god, and there is NO middle when it comes to Him. It's NOT okay with Him for you to put anyone or anything before Him. If the person or task at hand is destined to be a part of your life, there will be NO need to force its place. God will create a place. Without your worrying heart or mind, He will make a way out of no way.
Routine Maintenance (read encouraging stories of faith)
There are nights I just can't get to sleep. The burdens of today have my mind bound with the type of worrying that make you sick to your stomach. There are times you want to pray, but you can't find the words to say. Too often we give The Enemy credit "I tell you what, the devil sure is working on me today", but perhaps it isn't the devil, maybe it's God...
And you say "God? Why would God try to make life difficult for me?" "Anything worth having is worth working for", my Papa used to tell me. Through trials and tribulations we find our inner most strength. During those weakest times in our lives we find ourselves depending fully on God because we have nothing left ourselves. I am reminded of a song that says "God keeps us close, by the pain we know always...for everything there is a season, and for all the pain there is a reason." "Tamela Mann-Tyler Perry Madea's Family Reunion".
