However, the following tips are worth trying so that you can improve the draw of a cigar that is giving you a hard time.

First, it is important to understand what factors affect the draw of a cigar. Why some cigars are difficult to draw? The first factor that most experienced smokers consider when faced with a cigar that is difficult to draw is the quality of the roll. Low-quality rolling will either result in the tobacco bind being too loose or too tight. When rolled too loosely, it will burn too fast and is likely to burn unevenly. When rolled too tight, the cigar will be difficult to draw and may burn unevenly based on what portions of the cigar are rolled too tight.

Another factor that may be at the root of the problem is the humidity levels in which you store your stogies. If the environment is too moist and the cigars pick up a great deal of this moisture, they will not burn correctly and drawing oxygen through the cigar will become much more difficult. To correct this problem, use a quality humidor to store your smokes. If the cigars you own are already too moist, it might not be too late to store them in a dryer environment that is controlled so that the moisture can be drawn out effectively. Another option when you have a cigar on hand that has been rolled incorrectly is to try to fix the problem. Gently move your fingers up and down the cigar to see if you can find a hard spot. If you do find a hard spot, gently squeeze that area while your cigar is lit to loosen the tobacco.
