easy to blame the delivery company for it, but it might not actually be their fault. It could be that the sender of your parcel didnt package it properly, causing it to come apart in transit. Although delivery companies do their best to take care of your parcels during delivery, you should remember that it is your responsibility to ensure that your parcel is well packaged.

There are many things that you can do to make sure that your parcel will be protected during delivery. If your parcel will be travelling overseas, you should pay special attention to the packaging that you use as your parcel is likely to be moved around more than usual. You should always use the appropriate packaging materials when sending parcels, which you can order online or buy in many different stores for a small amount of money.

For instance, you could use a padded envelope or could wrap your item in bubble wrap before using brown parcel paper. You can also buy boxes that you can assemble for delivery, and you should always use some kind of cushioning material, such as bubble wrap or polystyrene peanuts. You can buy these items in bulk if you need to send a great many parcels as part of your business.

When sending your parcel always use packaging tape to seal the envelope or box that you are using, and leave enough space on the front and back of your parcel on which you can write the delivery and return addresses. It is especially important that you include this return address, otherwise your parcel wont be able to be sent back to you should delivery not be possible.

Make sure you check the delivery address with the person you are sending the parcel to in order to ensure that you have the correct spelling for it. Incorrect spellings are a regular cause for returned parcels, especially for those being sent overseas. You should also leave enough space on the parcel for the delivery stamps and stickers, which often need to be placed in specific areas, such as the upper right hand corner.

If the contents of your parcel are especially fragile it might be a good idea to invest in fragile stickers so that you can let the courier know. They will then handle your parcel especially careful so that it will arrive in one piece at the other end.
