A great and usefull tool

This tool works great. The manual is somehow short of explaining all you need to know for getting the most out of it, but with a little use one quickly starts to learn all of its features. ABS funtions are limited to specific brands so one has to make sure it applies to actual and future needs. I made use of its link to the web and with the car's manual I was able to solve a problem my actual car was having with the evaporative control system, that meant getting my investment back in its first use. I recomend it to those who have some basic knowledge of the cars systems and for those who just one to read the codes to make sure it's not being taken advantage of.

I have an earlier model, for the past 10 years, which is ODB2. I bought this one because all of my friends and neighbors have CanODB2 on their cars. This hand held works great. One friend was having problems with her brakes. The shops kept telling her to take her Astro van to the dealer. Not 30 seconds after hooking up to the car, I had three codes for the brake system. I hooked the hand held to my desk top and showed her what the problem was. This scanner is well worth the money.

I have used this on many vehicles very easy to use and the back lighting is easy to read, I also work at autozone this is far better to use on customers cars besides that it also gives live data and for domestic vehicles it reads the abs code which helped me out a few times on finding cars with simple fixes. such as tire inflation code that comes up as a ABS code. no worries there at least its an easy fix just delete and reset the tire inflation code with the parking lights. got a few cheap cars from the auction that way this item paid for itself already thanks.

i bought it on the premise it would cover all gm cars as it said it would and my 2002 pontiac grand prix was not covered.very disappointing since i had abs problems and i just waisted my time
