Most plus size women's main fashion blunder is about their over sized outfit. The miscomprehended logic here is that by wearing something large enough to cover a great expanse of a woman's body, she will manage to hide unsightly lumps and bumps. In this conception, a woman who isn't slim and wore large, loose and floppy clothing turns out looking at least twice her natural size. Hence, baggy clothing is unflattering on a plus sized woman. Large women would do best to avoid them and to instead, try wearing vertical stripes, which have a more slimming effect. In addition, large, floral and other bold patterns can have a similar effect to that of horizontal stripes. If worn over areas that are large, they add to expanse. This is fine if you want to make an area seem bigger, but isn't wonderful for most plus sized women who want to make the best out of their curvaceous assets, and not to resemble a rose bush.

Also, wearing dresses that are tight is another thing not to be overseen. Actually, close fitting clothing is fine for a plus sized woman, but only when worn on the appropriate areas of her body. However really tight clothing is pretty unattractive on most figures, and definitely on a voluptuous one. The only type of figure some styles of tight clothing may suit is that of the supper skinny. Even then, the tightness will emphasize what's underneath, thus making a thin woman appear thinner. A large woman will naturally appear larger than she is. Especially if she looks like she's busting out at the seams. Also, tapered pants and jeans, when worn, will only result to a not good contrast because it will just make the appearance of the ankle larger.

Lastly, as the golden rule: for plus size women, don't wear anything that will only make you uncomfortable.
