Walking or running is great excercise and quite exhilarating! * Try not to wear headphones or anything that covers your ears and cuts down on your ability to hear. This is very important! The most important thing you can do to stay safe is to be aware of your surroundings. Predators can virtually come up behind you without you noticing when your hearing is restricted.
* Avoid unpopulated areas and unfamiliar terrain.
* Vary your route and times of day that you walk or run. Predators will sometimes try to take note of your habits and then act on them. Don't give them that advantage!
