This is very common with an infection that takes place around the anus or the genitals.
When it comes to a yeast infection in the mouth, a sense of tenderness or even a burning sensation when eating certain foods may be present. It is important to note that the foods are known to have not caused a similar problem in times past, but only recently begun to create a burning sensation. If left unchecked, sore spots may begin to form soon after.
Sores that are red and inflamed may appear as well. This is not uncommon when a yeast infection is present in both men and women. The vagina and vulva areas in women may become swollen and sore. With a man, the head of the penis may develop sore patches that are red and somewhat scratchy. A discharge that is somewhat a grayish white in nature may form shortly thereafter, although more women experience this type of yeast infection symptoms than men. Regardless of the type of symptoms that develop, it is a good idea to seek medical attention sooner rather than later. The longer that the infection has to settle in, the harder it will be to get rid of the infection and get back to a normal routine.
