Losing weight seems to be a constant battle with all adults

. As we get older we tend to get more belly fat. This belly fat wreaks havoc on the body. It creates and unhealthy situation and could lead to disease.

Diabetes and high blood pressure is directly related to being overweight. Heart attacks, joint and back pains are associated with those who have been overweight for many years.

Losing weight and belly fat can be done by eating nutritional foods. Foods like vegetables have brilliant color. Color is the key when eating food. More color higher the vitamins, minerals and fiber. The goodness of these foods wards off disease and keeps you healthy. There are no bad aspects to eating veggies. They are packed with natural goodness and have nothing bad. Like anything new it may take a while to change a bad habit, continue eating them and before long the vegetables will be part of your nutritional meal.

Protein is essential for your diet. Protein has been reported to suppress the feeling of wanting to eat; the other benefit is that it makes muscles strong. Foods that are high in protein satisfy your appetite better than sugar or comfort foods (fast food). Lean meat, chicken, fish, pork, eggs, steel cut oatmeal, low fat cheese and whole wheat pasta are all foods that are high in protein.


Eat smaller meals: Eating 5 smaller meals each day is better than eating 3 big meals. The reason for this is that when your body sees smaller amounts of food your body starts to burn the food faster. When eating the smaller meals these can consist of peanuts, almonds, walnuts and fruit. Apples, pears, grapes and oranges are good to eat. Yes they have sugar in them but this is natural sugar and your body knows how to digest and use this sugar.

What not to eat: don't eat foods that get your brain wanting more. These are foods that are completely sugar or have high sugar content, soda, cake, candy etc. The brain loves sugar it can't get enough of it. Give it a little, it wants more. The brain turns into a sugar junky. The brain informs the rest of the body that more food is needed.

Using these above steps will work, but it will take sometime this doesn't happen overnight. There are techniques that will speed up the weight loss period, proper nutritional diet that's suited for each individual.
