Exercise for Buttocks - How to Tone Your Buttocks and Thighs


Many women these days are looking for an effective and practical way to lift and tighten their buttocks. Exercising is a great way to avoid plastic surgeries and they give you extra toning and tightening you need to look better in clothes, swiming suit, or even naked. There are many great techniques you can use to form out a phenomenal backside in no time. These techniques mainly consist of squats and lunges. Basic squats are excellent for the butt, hips, thighs and calves but they can get a little boring over time, especially if you need to add a little intensity.

While we understand the importance to introduce the resistance training to tone and tighten the glutes, it is also of great importance to incorporate some of the best cardiovascular excersises that are directly affecting the shape, size and definition of your buttocks. A great technique than can be used to give lift and shape to the butt is interval training on the treadmill. Interval training technique combines short bouts of high-intenstity workout with short bouts of low-intensity workout.

You will notice great benefits from interval walking on the treadmill. You will interchange one-minute of speed walking on a steep incline - at least 8-10 degrees, with thirty seconds to a minute of low-intensity walking on a lower incline, 2-4 degrees. The workout will look something like this:


1. 3-5 minute warm-up

2. 1 minute of speed walking at 8-10 degree incline

3. 30 seconds of normal walking on 2-4 degree incline

You should repeat steps number 2 and 3 for about 20 minutes on the treadmill. This technique can be used for 3-5 times per week at least. The gluteus maximum and gluteus minimum wil be stimulated very intensely during this workout. If you further combine this technique with squats, and lunges, you will notice some great results after just a couple of weeks of training. The inner thighs will develop nice muscle tone and your entire lower body will get firm, toned and sexy and you will finally have a backside that you will be proud to show off.

But remember that whatever technique you choose, you should also get familiar with healthy diets to burn the extra fat from your butt and to get maximum results and weight loss.
