Blacksmith Arms is also well known in the area as it is rumoured to be haunted. But, rumours aside, this pub is hugely popular with the locals as well. The pub is open from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. However, on Sunday, Blacksmith Arms shuts at 10 p.m.

You can also choose to visit a trendy nightclub during your Isle of Wight holidays. Studio is one such club, which you shouldn't give a miss, as it happens to be one of the most popular venues for live music, club nights and other arts. It is located at Bowling Green Lane in Newport and is highly accessible by car from the Isle of Wight Cottages. The nightclub has a very warm feel, much that that of an art studio. You can find out in advance regarding live shows and special nights. Studio often has a Jazz, Blues and Folk Night, famous with music aficionados, while the Hipshaker Night sees people dancing through the night. Visit on a Friday on Saturday, if you plan to boogie the night away. The nightclub also hosts a good number of interesting workshops.
