Extruded rubber is that kind of rubber which after going through extrusion is made industry specific

. This gives the material the competitive edge over normal rubber as it gives the material the desired shape by applying compressive force. It becomes more standardized after extrusion and can serve more purposes than usual. To meet manifold demands of industry extrusion it is necessary to make rubber perfect in terms of design, sustainability and strength.

Extruded rubber contributes to appliances, construction, aerospace, electronics and automotive industry. There are a number of extrusion techniques like co-extrusion, cold extrusion, oriented extrusion, overcoat extrusion and many more. Techniques are chosen according to the design and durability given to the rubber. The complex design and pattern of extruded rubber is the part and parcel of automotive industry. In many other places such as in the interior or exterior of refrigerator extruded rubber is used to serve different purposes. They are strong yet flexible. In households, belts, rods, cord and seal are common examples where we find the use of such kind of rubber. The other uses of this rubber includes extruded channel that has wide industrial application; extruded rubber bumper that gives cushioning effect to the wall , pillars; extruded rubber gaskets which are extensively used in refrigeration, window and plumbing. Most importantly o- ring of extruded rubber are resilient, resistant to heat, oil, gas and extensively used in automotive and medical industry.
