Crepey eyelids which means crepey skin over the eyelids

. Can this type of eyelids be treated with eyelid surgery. This question was asked by a woman at realself to a well known New York Cosmetic Surgeon.

I have crepey loose skin in my eye area mostly on my eyelids, I wonder if having a Blepharoplasty can fix the crepey skin problem. Are there any options besides eyelid surgery to fix my crepey eyelids?

Cosmetic surgeon who has offices at New York City and Garden City answers this question in a simple and understandable way. He says that crepey skin on eyelids may be of different causes from environmental to severe smoking. He also adds that creepiness is usually talking about texture at that area.

He also says that

If the skin is mostly just of a fine texture, look and very crepey well the range of treatment is anything from simple cream to topical treatment such as laser skin resurfacing. In my practice we use Mixto fractional co2 laser which helps a lot with crepey skin. Its a new technology where laser spots are placed in a way that tightens the skin and allows in faster recovery. So, you have different options. I usually start with conservative ones first but it varies.
