The journey for Spain in this world cup has not been so easy
. They had lost their first match against Switzerland by 1-0. it didn't look like they were in the mood to play the first match as the body language of the players were not confident and it seemed like they were concentrating more on attack. There were instances in the game where they would have conceded 2 or 3 goals which shows their defense was not up to the mark but they as a team identified their mistake and outplayed Chile in the next game , winning it 2-0.the match with Chile boosted them up and they made sure that they don't loose anymore. They kept the basics alive and played accordingly and they met Germany in the semi finals. Germany on the other hand, had been playing some amazing game. They have won their last game against a powerful argentine side by 4-0 and completely dominated their opposition. The game between Spain and Germany was also educational to watch. Spain won the game and entered into the final of cup which they have never done before. Netherlands who also has been playing very nicely entered into finals defeating Uruguay in the other semi final game. There was another thing which is nothing but an OCTOPUS which had been predicting the last seven games and to the surprise all of his predictions were true. It was the last and his eighth prediction, where he predicted Spain as the 2010 world cup winners. Spain played really hard and so did the Netherlands but in the end it was Spain who with a classic powers hot by one of their star striker won the game as well as the cup. The octopus on the other hand, has become an international celebrity and a source of attention.
