But it is a different story underneath your skin. Whenever your feeling stressed your body will produce adrenaline. To counteract the production of adrenaline your body will produce cortisol. This is because cortisol will slow down your bodily functions to include the immune system.

Typically, this is only a short-term solution and your body will return to normal. But in these stressful times if you stay stressed all the time then your cortisol level will never go down. This will put your immune system in a weakened state and keep it there.

Having a faulty immune system is a major cause of eczema and for me this usually manifests itself in facial eczema, lucky me! But the facial eczema is only the first symptom and you will eventually get other health issues.

For this reason it is extrememly important that you get your stress under control. Most experts agree with this and recommend a stress reducing regimen as part of the battle against facial eczema.
