The growing concerns of teenage pregnancy have to be very well understood
. However, it is necessary to look at the causes of teenage pregnancy. The causes of pregnancy may be psychological or socio economic. Adolescent or teen pregnancy has its prevalence in various developed countries. Most commonly it is found in the United States. A greater role is played by bringing it about. This has a link to the most common problem of child marriage. Thus, there are various solutions for the problems of teenage pregnancies. There is a variation in different countries. However, the basis of the problem is the causes.

1 - Psychological factors
In various developing countries, complex teenage psychology has resulted from various factors. This has a good contribution to the problem of teen pregnancy. If the teenagers are living in a transition phases, there will be a misguidance of the lives of people. This mainly results from the family relationships which are very weak. The much needed emotional support is not provided. Emotional sustenance is sought by teenagers from the people who stay outside their family.
2 - Impact of mass media
The sexuality is explored by the adolescents with the emotional and physiological changes that are experienced. A positive role has been played by the mass media. However, this issue is concerned mainly for the young adults. If there is no proper sex education, teens are more prone for having unprotected sex. This is very true when the sexuality is exploited.
3 - Substance and alcohol abuses
There is many a times abuse of drugs and alcohol which has been followed by unrestrained attraction with opposite sex. This will end up in teenage pregnancy. Many people are accepting such lifestyles in India.
4 - Economic and social factors
In various developing countries like India, age old customs are one of the main
causes of teenage pregnancy. There are various customs that are supportive of child marriage. There are various economic problems such as poverty. Due to this, the adolescents are forced for having kids early. Then, they will also become earning members of the family.
5 - Not enough sex education
In various developed countries, there is exposure of kids to an environment which is sexually environment. Thus, there is no adequacy of sex education. Sometimes, there is indulgence in sex mainly due to pressure of peers. Some rubbish programs are aired on television.
