If you actually enjoy doing laundry you are probably in the minority
. Most people find sorting, washing, drying and putting away their clothes to be drudgery. It's made worse by the fact that you have to do it your entire life. Some people hate it so much they will avoid it as much as they can.
Fortunately, there are ways to make the chore somewhat less onerous. Just be positive about it and you'll be finished before you know it.

Try painting your laundry room a cheery color or a soothing color that you enjoy. If you brighten it up with colors you love, you will be surprised at how it changes your frame of mind.
It's always a good idea to organize your home including your laundry. Separate your laundry into like colors and textures before you wash it. When you're done you'll be amazed at how easy it is to find things that before were scattered throughout the house. Try buying separate baskets for colors and put hampers in every bedroom.
You can make the space more inviting with a television or radio to keep you company. If you like to read bring a good book or do some surfing on your laptop. If you plan things to keep you busy you won't dread the task so much and it will go faster.
We have to accept that laundry is a chore we'll be doing all our lives. It's better to embrace it and find ways to make it more fun that to resent doing it. Laundry doesn't have to be the worst chore on your list if you find ways of making it more interesting.
Here's an idea. Consider making one specific day, your laundry day. By setting up a routine you will get into the habit of doing it and it won't pile up. That will make it seem like less of a burden on the day you designate is laundry day. It will probably never be fun, but it can be less hateful if you try some of the tips suggested.
