Cancun beaches are white powder sands that are made of almost 100% porous limestone. This makes the sands cool to walk on even under the hot tropical sun. The ocean temperature is warm, as expected, and reaches its highest temperatures in late August and early September.

The myriad of shops at this market feature traditional Mexican handicrafts from all over the country, from sombreros and clothing, to toys and handmade sculptures or statues.
