Kumbhakonam Suryanaar Temple
Suryanaar temple located at Kumbhakonam in Tamil Nadu is surrounded by huge temples. The Navagraha or nine celestial bodies are the main deities in the temple. Modhera Sun Temple
Like the Konark Temple, Modhera Sun Temple of Gujarat is also partly ruined and the remains provide us excellent rock architecture of a long heritage. The temple is designed in such a way that the rays of morning sun will fall in the main idol. The main idol is crafted in an Iranian style.
