Fantasy Football Bye Week Replacements: Week 10

The 2010 Bye Week Saviors comes to an end, with week 10 giving you the final bit of help you need in regards to bye weeks in fantasy football. Your fantasy team will have to do without the services of some big-time fantasy performers this week, as the Green Bay Packers, Oakland Raiders, New Orleans Saints, and San Diego Chargers are all off in week 10.

Garrard gets another favorable matchup in week 10.

So, to make up for the loss of studs like Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, and Darren McFadden, we've found a slew of guys who are readily available in at least 51% of fantasy waiver wires (perYahoo! Sportsstandard leagues). Read on to see if any of these guys might still be floating around on your league's waiver wire.

Note: None of the following players are locks to tear it up all season, but due to bye weeks and favorable roles or matchups, we like their chances for week 10.

Chad Henne, QB, Miami Dolphins (Available in 56% of standard fantasy football leagues)

Henne has been slightly inconsistent in 2010, but he's also displayed in a few contests that he has a big arm and some nice weapons in the passing game. With those two pro's on his side, Henne marches into a favorable matchup with the beatable Tennessee Titans pass defense in week 10. You can't count on Henne every week, but after struggling through a tough matchup with the Baltimore Ravens, the Titans will be a welcomed task.

David Garrard, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars (71%)

Garrard is fresh off of a week 9 bye week, which leaves him now just two weeks removed from a very impressive five-touchdown games against the Dallas Cowboys. Garrard hasn't been a yardage fiend by any means this season, but he's had no problem finding the end-zone, as he has 13 passing touchdowns and two more on the ground. With a date with the horrid Houston Texans pass defense, we can't see that type of production stopping for Garrard in week 10.

Donald Brown, RB, Indianapolis Colts (67%)

Brown didn't blow anyone away in his first start with Joseph Addai and Mike Hart out with injuries, but he was fairly effective against a solid Philadelphia Eagles run defense, as he totaled 97 yards on 18 touches. Brown's role is a little uncertain, pending on the health of Addai and Hart moving toward week 10, but with a beatable matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals this week, he's someone worth taking a look at.

Mike Goodson, RB, Carolina Panthers (96%)

You'll have to be pretty desperate to consider Goodson this week, but with bye weeks and injuries this season, anything is possible. Just looking at Carolina alone, DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, and Tyrell Sutton all are dealing with injuries, which could have Goodson in the driver seat as the starter in week 10. It might not give him a ticket to fantasy gold, but if he's the starter, you have to like his role for at least a week.

Mike Thomas, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars (82%)

After getting blanked by the Chiefs in week 7, Thomas got back into a groove with four catches, 40+ yards, and a score in Jacksonville's offensive explosion in a win over the Cowboys. Thomas should see more of the same with the best matchup he'll see all season against the Houston Texans. Hey, if we're vouching for Garrard, how can we not vouch for this guy, right? Oh, and as an added boost, Thomas has a pretty nice matchup schedule down the stretch, including a week 17 matchup with, you guessed it, the Houston Texans.

Brian Hartline, WR, Miami Dolphins (97%)

Hartline isn't a big name and may never be. In fact, he probably isn't even a bigger name than Davone Bess in Miami. However, he's slowly becoming a consistent and reliable fantasy option in deeper leagues. With a decent matchup against a beatable Titans pass defense in week 10, he could be a solid play inany league. Hartline has been a solid PPR play, as well, notching at least four catches in four straight games, and at least 50 yards in his past three. He won't blow you away, but he can lock it down as a WR3 in a pinch this week.

John Carlson, TE, Seattle Seahawks (63%)

Carlson isn't living up to his rookie hype or sophomore numbers, but he still has the role and potential fantasy owners build off of. That, and he gets to go up against the leaky Arizona Cardinals pass defense in week 10. As long as he gets a healthy Matt Hasselbeck back behind center this week, Carlson has a decent chance at posting his best line of the season.
