Choose the Right Size

The general fit of clothing for tall women is important. Look for garments specifically labeled tall. These pieces are designed to fit your body's proportions. Pants should hit the top of your foot and come down about mid-heel, so be sure to take into account the height of the shoes you will be wearing with a particular pair of pants when you purchase them. When shopping for shirts, make sure it falls past the waistline of your pants, and the sleeves should hit your wrist.

Play Up Your Strong Points

If you are looking for clothing that will accentuate your height, go for either long dresses or separates in monochromatic tones. A solid color, particularly in black or dark blue, will flatter your length. Tuck your shirt into your tall womens pants for a seamless, solid line running the length of your body.
