. During a wedding day, the parents finally entrust their child to another person a man or a woman whom they wish will love and care for their child as much as they did. The father of the bride, especially, gives away his daughter to a man who will replace him as the number one guy in his daughter's life. Here, now, are samples of father of bride wedding speeches.

First of all, you may begin with a short greeting or a warm welcome to the guests. You may say something like this Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. Most fathers who have a daughter dream of the day that she marries the day when she is looking beautiful and radiant in her wedding gown, and when she walks down the aisle on his arm and he gently gives her to the man of her choosing. After welcoming the guests and thanking them for their presence, you may then address the newly wed couple and share with them bits of your wisdom. You may say something that goes like this There is no single key to a happy marriage. Every couple, I believe has to work for that, just like any other couple I know. There are times when they will argue, especially during trying times, but I hope that their love for each other is strong enough to get them through those times.

To my daughter, I wish you all that's best in life. And to my son-in-law, please take care of my daughter. To you both, may your marriage always include God and may God abundantly bless you both.
