Fear Not Diablo 3 Newb - 3 Simple Tips To Mask Your Newbie Ways In Diii

Diablo 3 has definitely had a rocky start ever since its launch

. Blizzard's poor planning resulted in loads of angry fans before these people ever started playing the game. I personally can't join in the hate-fest because I picked up the game the day that the Error 37 was fixed. With that said, I'd like to share a few tips that have helped me make a lot fast progress in the game. Expert level players will already know this stuff. Brand spanking new players will definitely find it useful.

The first thing I did when I started my first character was key bindings. There are a few guides where people share their preferences on what to set for what key, but don't feel like you have to copy these guys. I found playing with one of their key binding layouts and then I ended up adapting it to my own style. The most annoying key binding change I had to make was changing auto-walk from G to F. My keyboard has a little bump on the F key which makes it much easier to find through touch every time I move around. Another important key which may or may not have to change for you is C - I have it set to inventory seeing as how I'm opening and closing it constantly.

Once you get the keys down, it's a matter of becoming fluid with the controls in the game. For me, part of this meant that I had to increase the speed of my mouse movement on my computer. I couldn't find a way to do this in the game settings, but you can change your mouse sensitivity in Windows 7 with just a few clicks. Open your Start Menu and click Control Panel. Search in the top-right box using the word "mouse". Click "Change mouse settings", which should be the first option. Now click the Tab that says "Pointer Options" at the top. You'll see a slider bar at the top of the options, it's labeled "Select a pointer speed". I turned it up all the way. The result was the ability to move my mouse around much more quickly in Diii. This might not feel right for some of you, but I would try it out first.

Here's the last tip. Start looking at exchange rates and value for items in the auction house. That might sound like a lame piece of advice, but let me explain. Magic items can be converted into essence and rare items can produce a fallen tooth. When you are going to ditch an item, you are basically trying to figure out which method will produce a greater value. Your options are: convert to essence, sell to the merchant, or sell at auction. And don't forget to check the going rate for items such as essence because you can actually make gold in the conversion process between auction and creating items.
