Fears and Phobias
People have phobias that can hold them back in life especially fear of flying, Acarophobia- Fear of itching or of the insects that cause itching. social phobia, fear of mixing with groups of people. If your phobia is holding you back in life it is time to seek help.
A fear can be healthy if it cautions a person to stay safe around something that could be dangerous
The Most common Phobias are
Bugs, Mice, Snakes, and Bats. They're unpredictable, creepy-crawly, and possibly poisonous who wouldn't be afraid? Spiders are the most common phobia.
Heights. We're afraid of them because we can't fly and we could fall. This doesn't sound that un-reasionable!
Water. Fear of water can be innate or learned due to a near-drowning experience. This can have a terrible effect on someones life yet itr is a common phobia.
Public Transportation. We feel more vulnerable in public crowded places because we have less control over other people or situations. Fleeing is much more difficult, making crowded places a source of anxiety.
Storms. Hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes, and even thunderstorms can cause irrational anxiety because we know the damage they can cause.
Closed Spaces. Feeling trapped (to someone without the fear imagine being in a coffin!) feels horrible.
Tunnels and Bridges. Going through a tunnel is similar to being in a closed space, which makes you feel vulnerable. The fear of small spaces is a common phobia.
Crowds. Similar to being on crowded public transportation, huge groups of people can make us feel trapped and vulnerable. This common phobia is related to the fear of public speaking.
Speaking in Public. We feel like we'll be judged, we worry what we look and sound like, and some of us have anxiety attacks. We don't want to embarrass ourselves, There are many phobias some are very unusual and hard to understand !
These phobias are no coincidence, nothing happens without a cause - fears and phobias are no exception, they are either the symptom of some anxiety provoking experience, of which the sufferer is often unconscious, or they are learned.
These Phobias become a huge problem when they cause stress, anxiety and panic attacks. People behave totally unrationally when it comes to thier phobia. The phobic often feels as though they are up against an invisible force - they want to pass through, but no amount of will or effort seems to help.
When faced with the task of dealing with the fear (in the absence of therapy or self-help), the phobic often feels as though they are up against an invisible force - they want to pass through, but no amount of will or effort seems to help.
Sometimes these fears can be triggered off by a loud noise or something simple.
How Fear Works
When we sense danger, the brain reacts instantly, sending signals that activate the nervous system. This causes physical responses, such as a faster heartbeat, rapid breathing, and an increase in blood pressure. Blood pumps to muscle groups to prepare the body for physical action
These are unwanted feelings and can be removed from our sub-concious minds, there is no need to go through life with a terrible phobia.
If you need hypnosis to remove a phobia please go to the hypnotherapy page on my website www.spriritzodiacsigns.co.uk.
and get the help you need.
In hypnotherapy we can clear up what caused the phobia historically. Sometimes this can produce a immediate recovery. At other times there is a problem because the person continues to have panic attacks despite being no longer afraid of the cause so it takes a bit longer to remove. Self-hypnosis is also very effective.
