Fed up with your slice? Fix it in 4 easy steps!
Here you will find a great 4-step solution to fix your slice
. This formula has been successfully used to cure golfers' slice problems from all around the world.Want a proven formula to curing your slice? Well, here is the exact formula I've used to cure literally thousands of golfers' slice problems from all around the world.
1. Setup for a draw
2. Swing from the inside so the ball starts to the right (for a right handed golfer) of your final target
3. Close the clubface by turning it slightly inward at ball contact
4. Have equipment that encourages you to draw the ball
This list of 4 things is generally the opposite of what every golfer does to hit a slice. As an example, a right-handed player with a slice problem generally tries to compensate for the slice by aiming to the left, although this tends to make the problem worse!
To fix a slice in the fastest possible way, you need to do the exact opposite from what you're doing at the moment. That means you have to setup for a hook. Then aim to connect with the ball with a slightly closed clubface by swinging from the inside and snapping your wrists more than usual through impact. And finally, you need equipment that helps you to hit a draw/hook.
If you did all of these things you could be curing a slice tomorrow.
The problem is overload - implementing all of my suggestions would mean that you would probably not be able to hit the golf ball at all for a few days.
Golfers don't really like change. You "learnt" to slice over a long period of time and it will take a long time to correct your swing if you go slowly.
Obviously, you'd like to cure your problem as quickly as possible. Well, believe me when I tell you that the fastest way to cure your slice is to concentrate on your technique. Forget about results for a few days or even weeks and exaggerate what you need to do to hit a hook/draw. I guarantee you that after a few days, you'll be able to hit the ball beautifully!
If you exaggerate the opposite of what you do to hit a slice, you'll eventually hit the ball straight - not hook it. I know that sounds weird but that's just how the golf swing works. There is a discrepancy between what you think you're doing when you swing, and what you actually do.
Now when you're making changes to your golf swing to fix your slice, you've got to work on one thing at a time. And the best place to start is with the setup. You need to setup the opposite of what you're currently doing. So have a strong grip, align yourself to the right of the target, position the ball back in your stance etc.
This will be tough to do but if you REALLY want to fix your slice you'll do it.
The second step is concentrating on swinging strongly from the inside. Then you've got to work on releasing your hands through impact so you contact the ball with a slightly closed clubface. And finally, get some advice on selecting clubs that encourage hitting a draw/hook rather than a slice.
And there you have a proven solution to help you fix your slice. To stress again, in order to get the fastest results, you must do the exact opposite of what you're currently doing to hit your slice. To make a start, I recommend you change your grip to make it stronger, because I know of golfers that have just done that and fixed their golf slice.
