Ecology is the science of the environment. The name of science comes from the Greek word oikos - home, household and logos - science, research. The term ecology was first used by German biologist Ernest Haeckel 1866th year.
In laymen's public is the term often used synonymously with the concept of environmental protection, which is invalid because the environment is only one of the areas covered by the ecology. In fact, ecology is a scientific discipline that studies the arrangement and distribution of living organisms and biological interactions between organisms and their environment.
Environment (environment) of organisms including physical properties, which can be summarized to describe the so-called. abiotic factors such as climate and geological conditions (geology), but also includes other organisms that share with it its ecosystem or habitat.
Recycling is the separation process from waste material and its usage in the same or similar purposes. The process involves the collection, separation, processing and manufacture of new products from the used items and materials. It is important to separate waste by type because many waste materials can be reused if they are collected separately. All that can be used again and not to throw the recycling.
Examples of recycling in everyday life are:
- donation of clothes that are not used (better and more useful than to wear casts)
- making compost from organic residues, etc..
Some materials, such as polystyrene, are not biodegradable and not recyclable, but instead found the ecological replacement.
Without the introduction of recycling in everyday life it is impossible to imagine the waste management system.
Recycling has three basic principles (RRR):
R - Reduce
R - Reuse
R - recycle.
Recycling targets are achieved as follows:
- saving of raw material resources (all materials are of natural origin and has them in nature in limited quantities)
- Energy Conservation (no waste of energy in the primary process, as well as transport to monitor these processes and is provided with additional energy by burning materials that are not recycled)
- Environmental protection (waste materials degrade the environment, recycling and protecting the environment)
- creation of new jobs (in the recycling processes require knowledge of materials and work which creates the need for jobs).
In terms of re-utilization of materials can be:
- recyclable - they can be used to recapture the production process
- not recyclable - can not be returned to the production process and are used for energy-burning or in an environmentally safe way warehouse.
Almost everything can be recycled: paper, cardboard, plastics, glass, aluminum, copper, iron, ceramics, electronic and electrical waste...
