The Minneapolis Area has many different shopping malls, underground malls, and the World Famous Mall of America. From an indoor roller-coaster to a Hooters restaurant, the "MOA" has something for every age. Those who have never been to the mall may not realize the largest aquarium in the area is located in the basement. Coined, Underwater World, it has over 5,000 aquatic species from saltwater fish to those that inhabit the 10,000 local lakes.
2. Museums, museums, and more museums.
Newsweek has deemed the Walker Art Center as one of the best contemporary art museums in the country. Also worth a second look, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Mill City Museum, American Swedish Institute, the Weisman Art Museum, and of course, the Science Museum, which children especially like.
3. Party like it is 1999.
Between the Riverfront district, the Warehouse District, and Dinkytown there is nightspots to suite the choosiest connoisseur. The nightlife seeps from the city streets and skywalks. Take in outdoor jazz in the summer or stop by restaurant row at Nicollet Mall.
4. We're gonna win Twins! We're gonna score!
The highly anticipated Target Field is where the Minnesota Twins play baseball. The facility is one of the biggest structural undertakings Minneapolis has recently seen. Remarkably, just touring the grounds is enough to give children something to remember for the rest of their lives. The Twin's first year in the new park was the recent 2010 season.

This one even is surprising to the locals. Minneapolis is uncommonly known as the City of Lakes. In fact, the city has 20 lakes within the city limits. Minnesota has more shoreline than many states that border on teh ocean! What really makes Minnesota special is the balance between rustic nature and the bustle and progressive-warmth of urban living and architecture.
Minnesota, though often scoffed as a cold and boring city has so much to offer it's no wonder that many of the tourists vow to return before they get to their departure flights. Between the State Fair, Mississippi River, Como Park, Buck Hill and Afton Alps, the area is a haven for fun every season of the year.
