Australia has proved itself time and time again as one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world

. It is such a massive country which such a diverse landscape that visiting it is always different.

Australia is a very large continent in the Southern Hemisphere and is typically quite far away from the Western countries like the UK, US as well as Africa. It is made up of 6 states, which are South Australia, New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia and Tasmania. The main cities are Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane, and these all wrap around the southern and south eastern coast. Sydney is often thought to be the capital, however it is not and the actual capital of Australia is Canberra. Many cities in Australia routinely rank as some of the best cities to live in the world, based on quality of life, healthcare, and economic freedom etc. This has lead to a large influx of immigrants. As such Australia has made it quite difficult for people to immigrate to it unless one is being sponsored by a company and/or has a skill set that a particular state is looking for. Generally speaking the country is almost always looking for healthcare professionals and tradesmen.

It is amazing to think that when Australia was first settled by the Europeans that it was a place where prisoners were sent, and generally of course people didnt want to go there. However those things have all changed and now it is a not only a major tourist draw, but also many hundreds of thousands of people try and move there each year.
