Not every pilot has to experience a situation such as Sullerberger but it is important for each pilot to make sure that they have the highest quality of pilot supplies to ensure they are doing an accurate job to the highest of standards. Being a pilot you never know what situation youre going to have to deal with, 9/10 the flights run smoothly and, you dont have to worry about landing a plane on a river to save a huge amount of peoples lives. For the small percentage of people who have had to deal with tricky situations they have been prepared and ensured that they have had the correct equipment to make sure they do their job of flying a plane correctly, staying focused and keeping people alive.
