. These are the items that you are always ordering more of because supplies run low soon after stocked. If you are managing your inventory properly, it should not be difficult to create a list of these popular items. You should have that list on hand at all times so you can be on the lookout for the best deals when purchasing these items.

You must keep essential consumable dollar store products fully stocked at all times. One day without these items could cost you money. For instance, let's say your dollar store is always selling out of shampoo. If you allow your stock of that product to dwindle, what happens when a customer comes in looking for their favorite shampoo?

You will have to tell that customer that you are out of their favorite shampoo. They are not going to stop washing their hair until you replenish your stock, so they are going to run to the next discount store in search of the product. They have an immediate need for the product, and they are going to buy from someone else.

If that competing store has a lower price, can match your price, or is very close to your price, this customer could start going to their store over yours all the time. If the customer sees other deals they can find at the other store, you could permanently lose your customer just because you let your stock of their special shampoo dwindle.

This may seem like an extreme case, but it happens every day. If you are not in the habit of carefully monitoring your inventory and identifying your most popular items, it has probably happened to you more times than you are aware.

Every time a customer is told "it's out of stock" in your store, you are in danger of losing a customer. Keep your essential consumable products well stocked, and the problem is avoided. Customers who depend on you for a reasonable price on these items will know that they are guaranteed to find what they need every time they step foot in your store.

If customers are coming to your store for these essential items on a regular basis, they will pick up other items while they are there. No one likes to go to multiple stores if it is unnecessary, so ensuring you always have those essential items in stock is a way to get sales on less popular items. You gain sales, rather than giving away your customers over stocking issues.
