Ford is probably best known for its ability to continually produce award winning cars

, and rightly so. Look at one of its most successful models, the Fiesta. The Ford Fiesta is one of Fords best-selling cars of all time having sold more than 12 million since it arrived in 1976.

So does this mean that they are incredibly boring and carry an undeniable ability to blend into the crowd? Well, you have to say no. Fords latest special edition is the Fiesta Metal which will be limited to 1,000 models. As such, it will be a very exclusive model which is bound to turn heads.

Whats more, while you are getting a sought after and rare car, it still wont cost you the earth. The Fiesta Metal starts at 15,695. Ok, thats still serious cash for a Fiesta, but this isnt any old Fiesta. It is modelled on the popular 118bhp Zetec-S, however, power in the 1.6-litre Duratec Ti-VCT petrol engine has been boosted to 132bhp.

The exterior has been tweaked to include chrome twin exhaust pipes, silver-painted front grille surround, front aerofoil and front fog light bezels. There are 17-inch five-spoke Panther Black alloy wheels, body colour front and rear bumper skirts, side skirts and rear sports spoiler.

The Fiesta has a quality feel with black leather seats featuring silver contrast stitching and black painted centre stack bezel, air vent rings, interior door handles, alloy pedals, unique floor mats with silver piping, stainless steel door scuff plates with Fiesta logo and a leather steering wheel.

It performs under the bonnet too with the ability to reach 62mph in 8.7 seconds and a top speed of 121mph. Whats even more surprising is that Ford has still produced a car that is capable of doing 47.9mpg. Albeit, I doubt the car will be driven in such a way that will enable this!
