Forgiving 913 D2 Driver Broadens Appeal To Golfers Of All Abilities
I am so glad to hit Titleist 913 D2 driver, the most forgiving model Titleist has ever made really broadens the appeal to golfers of all abilities
. This driver induces less spin than a lot of clubs out there. Less spin off the driver buys more distance and forgiveness. Titleist also realized that the vast majority of amateurs are doing everything they can to combat a slice off the tee box. This driver has a slight draw bias to it.
The 913 D2 driver face is slightly lighter than the
Titleist 910 D2 Driver for sale and the weight has been redistributed to the bottom of the club. With the removable weight screwed down into the head, the 913 comes with a flat weight that lowers the center of gravity, which is a good thing, if you like higher speed and less spin, which equate to more distance. Forgiveness is one of the biggest changes compared to the 910D2 driver. Shots from the heel and toe still produce impressive results.
Not only do you get better distance across the two models, the 460cc D2 head now has the same launch conditions as the
913 D3 Driver, with a slight draw bias being the only subtle difference. The 913 D2 driver is likely to prove the more popular of the two in terms of mass market appeal as its slightly deeper centre of gravity helps promote more of a draw than the Titleist 913 D3 Driver. And Titleist's SureFit Tour hosel is a brilliant way to fine tune your ball flight with the right guidance.
Over the past days I've been consistently over 265 with better trajectory and straighter lines by the
Titleist 913 D2 driver. The amazing part is I have been playing in colder weather around 40 to 50 degrees. I usually lose a good 20 yards on my drives in the winter, but all I have seen is increases in distance. The club feels very solid and is forgiving if you hit it slightly off the heel or toe. Of course a horrible swing is still going to produce an appropriate result, but if you make a decent pass at the ball you can be a little off and still get good distance and accuracy.
It's ever so slightly clingy at impact, and the ball just pops off the face like a rocket. The best part is that you can feel all the shots. The ball jumps off of this club and sails long and straight. It has the same adjustable offerings as the 910 so you can get the "Tour Fit" in every club. The stock shafts are all first grade offerings so finding the right one for you won't cost you extra. I play it neutral, but the club can easily be adjusted to fit your swing or ball flight.
