Four Easy Steps To Creating Your Own Compliment Slips

, removing the need to pay for an often expensive professional company. However, as a lot of promotional materials require for a lot of experience to be held in certain aspects, particularly in regards to their design, it is often the most time efficient option to hire a dedicated company.Compliment slips are somewhat different though, primarily due to the fact that they do not require for any design to be particularly complex, meaning that most people who have a basic knowledge of word processing software can create their own compliment slips with relative ease.
With the process broken down into four individual steps, referring to each when creating compliment slips should ensure that they are created successfully and effectively, meeting their aim of being an aesthetically pleasing material that a customer will first see when opening an envelope.
Preparation. Whilst compliment slips may be easy to create, this does not mean that no planning or preparation needs to be carried out, but simply that it does not need to be as extensive as when creating other materials. For instance, there is no real need to determine an overall result or outcome, as this is the same for any compliment slip, but it is required to detail timescales, what materials are needed and individual costs, so to ensure that they are created within the means of the company.
Text. As compliment slips are developed to be attached to a letter and placed in an envelope with no or only a minimal amount of writing on them, there is not a substantial amount of text required to be pre-printed on them. Contact details should be included somewhere understated so they do not draw the eyes of the reader straight to them and the company name should be placed in a prominent position where it will be noticed first and foremost.
Other than these pieces of text, some companies often place the text With Compliments in the left centre of the slip, but this is not a necessity and is often down to personal preference.
Images. As with business cards, unless compliment slips are being utilized for more than their standard and traditional use, images should be kept to a minimum, with the company logo being the only image that most companies will need to, or should, use.
Printing. Should compliment slips be used for nothing more than attaching to letters that are being distributed internally within a large company, it is generally considered that standard copier paper will suffice for the slips to be printed onto. In other cases, where they will be used excessively with correspondence to external clients, a higher quality paper should be used. In these instances, it may be beneficial to have a dedicated company carry out the printing for you, as their results on high grade paper will often be noticeably better than if they were printed in-house on a standard office printer.
