Solar hot water system is a solar equipment process to heat the water with the help of free sunlight
. This saves your fuel money. Collector and storages tank are the two important components used in solar hot water generating process.
Mechanism of Solar Hot Water System
There are various types of mechanisms to generate hot water through solar energy. There are basically two mechanisms. One is direct and second is indirect water treatment.
In direct water processing, the tank is connected with the collector to inflow and passing of tank water through collectors for directly heating the water through the solar energy generated in the collector. Controller and pump can be attached into this system to protect against overheating. There are certain drawbacks of this system, where the chances of damaging the collector and corrosion effect is obvious depends on the property of water based on the location.
Indirect Solar hot water system is bit costlier than direct solar heating system as it gives more flexibility to place collector and solar tank as on requirement at feasible areas. The collector is attached with solar tank through the heat exchanger that contains the heating transfer fluid (HTF) like propylene glycol to transfer collector generated heat towards the water in solar tank and can be controlled the heating and freezing process through controller, external pump and sensor. Indirect solar heating water system is also known as split solar hot water system and well known for its easy and flexible installations of roof mounted collectors and ground mounted tank.
The close-couple thermal water system also can be used in the absence of required ground space to put solar water tank on the ground. This configuration is known as rooftop solar hot water system where collectors and solar tank are closely coupled with each other as single equipment.
Solar hot water suppliers also provide the gas hot water system for your hot water requirements on continuous basis. There are various types of solar collectors are used in the system like ICS or batch collectors, flat plate collectors, Unglazed or formed collectors, evacuated tube collectors etc, based on the mechanism used by the manufacturer. Solar water heating equipment is best for your routine hot water requirements.
