We all know that the economy today is nothing like it was twenty years ago

In fact, when I was going to school one lady I talked to told me that she and her husband never worked, that all they did for income was to invest in the right stocks.

Those days are long gone and the days of long hours spent in a cubicle are pretty much the reality of today. We all must work to support our families. Kids are expensive; housing is expensive as are food, utilities and all the other necessities of life.

We all talk around the water cooler about winning the lottery and kissing the corporate life goodbye. The chances of winning the lottery are pretty much nonexistent, but with the vast opportunities brought to us by the internet and online business, becoming our own boss is actually a reality.

Online business is booming and those who are tired of the office scene and working long hours away from their kids are starting to use this to their advantage. Conducting business or purchases online is fast, easy and convenient. This is part of why so many people shop online and use online search engines to find restaurants and services.

There is bound to be software already designed readily accessible to support any internet business you can dream up. Developing your own online business is not a pipedream, once you learn the fundamentals; you can earn a substantial income because of the rapidity of the expansion of internet shopping and business in general. Now is your moment to take advantage of the burgeoning desire that so many people have to manage their business online.

So many people dream of being their own boss. It would give them the flexibility and freedom to choose their own hours so they would never again miss their child's ballet recital or a quick pick up game of hoops with their buds. The work schedule is up to the business owner and can be changed to suit the circumstances without asking permission from anyone. Your life determines your work, not the other way around.

The luxury of never having to sit in a gray cubicle again is an outstanding notion for many of us and a huge motivating force. Life will not ever be the same as it was twenty years ago and that is a fine thing indeed. Thanks to the proliferation of the internet, we now have options only dreamed about just a few decades ago.
